Thinking of moving to a new building. Current one is nice and Long Island City is alright, but now that I've been in NYC for a few months I think I can get some better bang for my buck. I'd love to get some more space. I know I can easily sublet my place and if I wanted to deal with the hassle maybe make a few bucks in the process. Only issue is that I've got a roommate who is listed as an occupant on the lease, but isn't actually a lessee. I'm fine with just subletting out my room, but then I guess I have to get my roommate to sign a lease with me as well. I'm wondering if I can give him like 3 months notice to vacate and then just sublease the entire place. I told him when we moved in that I might not stay for the duration of the lease, so I don't feel like too much of a dick.
