i'm on an epic broken-stuff streak.

Started relatively small- router kept crashing, so I replaced it.

crashed my car.
heavy rains- both my backyard pump AND basement pump malfunctioned.
comcast issues- one of the nets of that was that my modem was "outdated", so I ended up replacing it.
Desktop PC died.
Now it seems like my scanner/radio is malfunctioning.
4 month old desk chair broke today (although the vendor may be sending my free repair parts)

i just bent over to put a cigarette out in an ashtray on our back patio and my phone fell out of my shirt pocket and the screen cracked. first such incident in five years of owning an iPhone. expecting to break my "never been mugged" streak soon

I was getting shit at the bar for not having a case on my iPhone. Explained how I've had it for three years with no incidents. Went to set it back down and wound up slipping out of my hand and flying a good couple feet to the floor. No problems though. Rewarded my faith.

i've probably dropped my phones a couple dozen times over the years with no real issue outside of a few scratches. i have the 5c now, which you can't really even put a case on because of the hard plastic casing (which takes the brunt of the punishment anyway). but because of the way it fell out, it slammed face first. it looks really bad. fortunately there are a bunch of places within walking distance of the office where I can bring it in this week and get it fixed in a jiffy. probably gonna cost me like 85 bucks unfortunately

a few months ago, within a week, 2 of my roommates and i cracked our phone screens that we've all had for 1+ year and were still in prefect condition. i still haven't gotten mine fixed, but i think i have insurance on it, so it shouldn't cost too much.

I'm at work now. This sucks
