Pretty happy about the 104.5 concerts at the Piazza getting cancelled. I think the agreement was going to end anyway, but nice that it's now confirmed. They did an awful job of keeping those events in check. I was consistently having to clean up after people. My car got fucked with last summer during one of the concerts.

I don't think events like this really drove a ton of business for the non-bars. 20 year olds weren't buying antiques. The bars will lose a bit, but they aren't going to struggle (well...Max's/Crabbies might take a serious hit, I've heard they counted on the concerts to make their nut).

I heard the real reason they are being cancelled (and I heard this prior to Saturday) was an insurance issue in conjunction with a scheduling issue for the next event (Piazza management had booked a yoga event---really--while the concert was supposed to take place).

So damn happy about this.

I didn't see it, but my neighbor has the full length video. Apparently 40 minutes wasn't that much of an exaggeration.
