I go with the green bean/carrot/cauliflower medley

I mean I like each of the vegetables individually, even lima beans (sort of), and would eat 2 or more as side dishes at the same meal, but somehow the combo puts me off

and you could probably even combine them in some kind of ratatouille kind of thing and I'd like that, but not just the listed vegetables

where do specific aversions like that come from
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

I think its sole purpose is to abate swelling when you sprain an ankle.

My township recently installed flood gates in like 4 flood-prone locations where we were constantly having to pull people out of flooded cars. Seems to have been very effective- we only had 2 water rescues last night, both in locations without flood gates.

HOWEVER, there were barricades at BOTH locations and the drivers just chose to drive around them. People.

I saw numerous shitheads this morning circumventing the barricades at Stenton and Flourtown, going east. I guess the massive sign that says flooding isn't enough.

Hmmm, that's one of out gate locations too. Had a fatal there about 8 years back- got a call for a car in the water, got there, didn't see anything. When the waters receded, the car was exposed in a field off the road with the dead guy inside. Thought they opened those gates overnight. Guess not.

Aha, that road is still closed due to "structural damage". Hopefully just road surface buckling and that brand-spankin' new bridge isn't damaged.
