Paula Deen compares herself to Michael Sam

“I feel like ‘embattled’ or ‘disgraced’ will always follow my name. It’s like that black football player who recently came out. He said, ‘I just want to be known as a football player. I don’t want to be known as a gay football player.’ I know exactly what he’s saying.”

Doctors have not really had any idea what has been causing it, and have tried to control it with epilepsy medication to no real avail.

Finally after his most recent episode, he had an MRI and an EEG and some crack neurologist takes one look at the results and says he has Rasmussen's encephalitis. Holy #$!&@. Unless some miracle therapy comes along really soon, it looks like he's going to have to have half his brain removed.

Update: his condition is progressing very fast. He has been accepted by the Make A Wish Foundation. He's going to Disneyworld. I'm crying right now writing this.

Im so sorry jay, this is tragic. Well be praying for him and family.

It's certainly true that having kids makes this sort of thing affect you more.
