That reminds me of something I had forgotten all about. When I was probably 12 I went over to this kid's house who lived in my neighborhood for just a couple of months. and he had mountains of porno mags, movies and Polaroids. Just sitting in his room. I said "Your mom lets you have these?". He said she gave it all to him. I asked who the people in the photos were and he said his mom's friends. Definitely thought it was pretty strange, but didn't think much of it. Now I'm pretty freaked out wondering what the hell was going on in that relationship.

Oh, he also had a killer baseball card collection including really old ones (also from his mom). We were trading cards one day and he offered me a choice of a Griffey or an old Willie Mays card (don't remember what I was trading). I had dozens of Griffeys, so like an idiot I added another one.

some radio stations are editing out "jeffrey dahmer" in that katy perry song. the list of names that would be edited out of songs has to be pretty short. so congrats to the dahmer family i guess.

dude my dad used to hang out with hired his neighbor kid as a babysitter. i guess they got kind of close so they brought him to a weekend camping trip with us and my dad's buddies all started jokingly calling him Dahmer because he was a weirdo. he turned out to be a kid toucher

A friend of Mrs. Vulture's had gone out to Milwaukee to live. He returned to NJ rather abruptly as the Dahmer case was unfolding. There was apparently some blood left in the apartment, and so the police interviewed him as I guess a person of interest in the case or maybe a possible victim. There may have been more to it--maybe like a guy he hired to help paint the apartment was a victim, but I'm not sure if I'm just using my imagination to embellish the case. I'll try to ask Mrs. Vulture tonight if I remember.
