I can't imagine that the main Phillies threads would be remotely readable if the team's winning percentage was .270 one third of the way through the year.

It is the opposite of what you think. It is like a party in there every time they lose. I understand the rational and all but if I am sitting home watching a game and they give up a 100 points after three quarters and are down nearly 40, I don't want to hear how awesome it is. If the Phillies were down 10 runs after 6 innings I don't think you would be posting about how great it is.

Admittedly, I haven't watched many games. I can imagine the frustration of watching blowout loss after blowout loss.

Prefer the medium sized ones. Not this big, but I really don't want an opportunity for fluke wins because of Spencer Hawes.

so etched was the only one who was really celebrating, calvin made one of his usual (for the sixers threads) "we asked for this" posts, and everyone else was either saying it sucked or mocking them. the sixers threads are consistently way better than either the eagles or phillies threads and thank god for that

You are probably right, TD. I might have to sit out a few games.

What's wrong with the Eagles threads, aside from the occasional overlong punctuation-challenged post?

Illusion, it's like a bad 3-point perspective.

Also, the building looks like the leg of a Voltron-like robot.

Divine intervention...

Received a call today from la fitness regarding a payment that did no go through. This was odd for two reasons...
One, I have plenty of money in my account.
Two, I cancelled my membership close to two years ago.

They called me regarding my payment and lack there of and told them the situation regarding the cancellation and was hung up on. I called back and asked to speak to a manager and was hung up on and called a second time regarding what account the funds were debited from and for how long and was hung up on yet again.

I had to run to the bank to put a stop payment on their account and then go all Michael Douglas/falling down on the local la fitness. Regardless to say, sometimes being nice and polite is just not the way to do business because they have now cancelled my account and have reimbursed me for the fees for the past two years. A little bit of psychotic behavior goes a long way,

Maybe they figured if my payment didn't go through I wasn't worth the time. Wells Fargo has no idea why it didn't go through.
