LONDON (AP) — The former lead singer of British rock band Lostprophets has pleaded guilty to a series of sexual offenses, including trying to rape a baby.


Ian Watkins, 36, was arrested last December and charged with more than 20 offenses, including raping a baby, conspiring to sexually assault a child and making indecent images.

He had denied the charges but changed his plea Tuesday at Cardiff Crown Court and admitted 11 offenses, including sexually touching a 1-year-old, encouraging a groupie to abuse her child and making child pornography.

Two more improvised explosive devices were found Wednesday on the Schuylkill County property where 11 IEDs were seized a day earlier, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.

On Tuesday, Schuylkill sheriff's department personal serving an eviction notice on the residence of Tony R. Weiss, 26, in South Manheim Township called state police to assist, troopers said.

A search Tuesday of the property in the 1600 block of Summer Hill Road turned up 11 IEDs, troopers said, while another search Wednesday resulted in the discovery of two more IEDs.

On both days the explosives were removed from the scene and taken to a site for controlled disposal.

Weiss was jailed in Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail after being arraigned on charges of possessing weapons of mass destruction and prohibited offensive weapons.
