My mom just called and said they looked at a house down the shore today that they might buy. I think they offered $14,000 for it. It's a fixer upper.

If BSG was ever gonna buy a shore house, prices have never been better.

Deauville in Brick Township, two blocks from the beach, block from the bay. Area's totally fucked up still - http://newjersey.news12.com/features/sa ... -1.5544314 - the house is down to the studs on the first floor. I think the second floor is OK, but it's basically a quasi attic, one big room with beds. Also like much of that stretch of beach (don't know how common this is elsewhere) you own the house, but the land it is built on is leased.
