if it's an interesting cover, that's one thing

if the whole thing is just a novelty based on how cra-a-a-zy it is that a white person with a tucked in shirt would say 'until the sweat drips down my balls' or that a black person might actually like a song that isn't about drugs and ho's - well that shit is dumb

I like it because the genre shift changes the focus of the song from bass and beats to lyrics and melody while retaining the lyrical rhythm. It takes the parts I like from one genre and adds them to where I feel they're lacking in another one. I don't give two shits who says or sings it as long as I like hearing it. And, I have never liked anyone telling me what I should or shouldn't like and why, instead of just telling me why they don't.

Housh I think you're completely discounting or totalling ignoring the comedic value of juxtaposition and focusing on the race thing, which is probably double-secret-reverse racist on your part, but frankly I'm not sure. It would have been the basically the same if Eminem or James Hetfield done it
