Yeah, that does seem ridiculous. I had no idea either were "hipster" things. Heck, even a fixed gear bicycle strikes me a real pain in the ass and I doubt anyone really rides one to look cool. Is single malt scotch a hipster thing? That might be something a hipster would drink to look cool even though they'd prefer a mojito.

There's this house that I drive past every day on my way to and from work (on Welsh Rd in the vicinity of Maple Glen) that has a piece of slate stuck in the ground near the road with the following slogan painted on it: "SIT WITH GOD, STAND WITH GLENN". There's a flag on it too. Does this make sense to anyone?

not really. never heard of anyone sticking slate in the ground like that.
