Dazed and Confused: Random thoughts among BSGers

Think I'm gonna take my wife somewhere for an adult vacation in february. Thinking Vegas or an island, hmmm. We aren't really big gamblers, but all of our family vacations have been to beaches lately, so I think I wanna do something differnt. We need to go out to some clubs get drunk and make some bad decisions together. I think I'm gonna do Vegas. Anyone know a good place to book a trip there? Definitely wanna stay on the strip.

I went to one semester of college and got a .25 gpa, dropped out, fucked around at community college for a few semesters and never got any kind of degree. I partied like an asshole but I got an entry level job in a bank and just took advantage of every opportunity that came up. If you want to make a change, make a change, seriously. Think outside the box and all that, be willing to do things others won't, stay late come in early and make an opportunity for yourself. It's hard work, but it's never too late

I work about 45 hours per week on average. Like Bucky said, it's good knowing that I can leave after 8 hours though. Don't make a ton of money and probably never will with my current company. The plan is to put 2 years in and look for a higher paying position. 1 year down. Let's do this.

The commercial for Lyrica (fibromyalgia drug) says that it is "believed to quiet these nerves [that cause the pain]". Seems like you'd want to make sure first...

That's where I'm at but my boss gave me shit for getting there at 7:01. Not the end of the world, just frustrating and a little bit silly for an office position. Whatever. Might try to suffer a year at this place and go from there

honestly, just being easy to deal with has done miracles for me so far. It's starting to look like I'm going to get more opportunities where I'm at too so...that's cool.

Palazzo at the Venetian. Bellagio is still great too.

Consider New Orleans over Vegas. Food will be better and cheaper, and depending on your tastes, shows may be better and cheaper--the music scene is actually very diverse.

The Venetian/Palazzo is really a pretty great deal though--the rooms are pretty huge, and very affordable.

It's really, really nice. HIghly recommend the B&B restaurant. Mario Batali and Joe Bastianach (he is the son of Lydia from Lydia's Italy)

I thought about this, but we've done New Orleans before, spent a week at the ritz-carlton on bourbon street, not that we saw everything by any means, but we've never been to Vegas together. Then again, new Orleans is where I told my wife that I was going to marry her, so maybe I should think about that before I book something but Vegas is really kida calling out to me.

I wonder if I'd root for the Yanks or Nats in the World Series if they play each other
