Another thing that was great about the 90s was how cheap it was to fly to Europe.

Yeh, I remember getting tickets from Boston to Amsterdam for $250 on Icelandair. They had a 2-for-$500 thing. It even had a stop in Iceland, so you could stay there for a few days at no extra cost. We didn't take advantage of it though.

You can crash at my place, Pac. There's a cog that takes you to the main railroad line about 100 feet from my door. And you can eat at the dining hall for free. One of the things I like the most about our location is how central we are to everything. I can hop on a train and be in Italy, France, or Germany within 3 hours or so. And the flights once you are here are very reasonable. We got flights to Budapest for about $80 round trip. And there are even cheaper flights to Paris, London, Rome, etc. EasyJet and a few small airlines based in the UK are really good for the short European flights. We're going to Marrakech over Christmas, I think, and we'll be able to do it dirt cheap. It's about $60 round trip and everything is super cheap there, so the hotel/apartment and food will be very affordable. Otherwise, we wouldn't be able to do it.
We've found flights for about $700-800 roundtrip to the states from here, but yeh, that's still a lot of money.
Have you ever been here?
