Scott Walker that effectively ended collective bargaining rights for most public workers.
It was not clear if the ruling means the law is immediately suspended. The law took away nearly all collective bargaining rights from most workers and has been in effect for more than a year.
Dane County Circuit Judge Juan Colas ruled that the law violates both the state and U.S. Constitution and is null and void. The ruling comes after a lawsuit brought by the Madison teachers union and a union for Milwaukee city employees.
Walker spokesman Cullen Werwie said he was confident the decision will be overturned on appeal.
It's a shame about all the trees the WI Supreme Court is going to have to waste in writing their decision overturning this
Haven't read the briefs, have no idea if the ruling has a leg to stand on, but if it does I sincerely hope I'm not too mature or too busy to rub it in.

The U.S. called out the Muslim Brotherhood for apparently tweeting a different set of messages—a kind one in English, and one in Arabic with a different tone—as demonstrators and security forces were battling outside the embassy in Cairo.
The Muslim Brotherhood's English-language Twitter account (@Ikhwanweb) retweeted a message from deputy head Khairat el-Shater saying he was "relieved none of @USEmbassyCairo staff was harmed" and hoped U.S.-Egypt relations "will sustain [the] turbulence of Tuesday's events."
However, according to ahramonline.com, the Brotherhood's Arabic-language Twitter account and its website were praising the protests staged against a U.S.-made film that some Muslims deem insulting to the Prophet Muhammad. The Brotherhood's messages also called for a million-man march on Friday.
That prompted an interesting response from the U.S. Embassy in Cairo: "Thanks. By the way, have you checked out your own Arabic feeds? I hope you know we read those too."
Later the Brotherhood responded, "we understand you're under a lot of stress, but it will be more helpful if you point out exactly the Arabic feed of concern."
Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked Mitt Romney earlier this week for labeling Russia as America’s “number one geopolitical foe,” explaining that Romney’s position has helped to justify Russia’s strong opposition to a NATO missile defense shield in Eastern Europe.
“I’m grateful to [Romney] for formulating his stance so clearly because he has once again proven the correctness of our approach to missile defense problems,” Putin told reporters, according to Russian news agency RIA Novosti.
...
Although Putin has called President Obama “a very honest man” who is “quite sincere” in his willingness to negotiate with Russia over the issue, he believes that Romney’s aggressive stance vindicates Russia’s refusal to compromise on missile defense.
“The most important thing for us is that even if [Romney] doesn’t win now, he or a person with similar views may come to power in four years. We must take that into consideration while dealing with security issues for a long perspective,” Putin said.

OBAMA FLASHBACK: The Day I'm Inaugurated Muslim Hostility Will Ease

Me: There were 12 embassy attacks under Bush. So in that sense it has eased.
Her: But Bush never came out & pompously claimed that the simple act of his election would make Muslims like us. That's what you're not getting.

Me: Girl Number 2, there was only a 40-50 percent chance he was at the compound. I think it is incorrect to believe anyone would have 'pulled the trigger' on those odds. Either way, he did, which in my opinion means he does in fact have 'balls.'

Her: Alex... you sure you listened to the right clip? He says he is "uniquely qualified" to handle relations with Muslims because he lived in the Middle East for part of his life, traveled there frequently and his half sister is Indonesian. He said the DAY he's inaugurated things would change. Give me a freakin' break.

Me: The title says he "Muslim hostility will ease." He doesn't say that at all. Nor does he say Muslims will like us. The questioner asked him to talk about his background. He did.

Me: You can laugh or insinuate I am stupid or whatever you are trying to accomplish. You post this kind of vitriol often, and I tried engaging in actually talking about it and not just going "LOL ROMNEY SUCH A DICK." Which, I feel is essentially the point of this audio clip is attempting to do to Obama even though I don't think it says what you and the website say it is saying. I enjoy talking about it but it is hard when all you respond with is more insults.

Her: It's like whenever I prove a point, all of a sudden I'm being insulting. Honestly Alex, if you don't have a valid rebuttal other than "but that's not what he meant to say!" then don't bother commenting. Barack Obama's arrogance is so blatantly obvious to anyone who isn't completely infatuated with him.

Me: No, no. It is whenever you are being insulting is when you are being insulting.
"That's what you're not getting."
"Alex... you sure you listened to the right clip?"
"Haha, okay Alex, think whatever you want."
Do you not think those statements are dripping with belittling sarcasm? I am not mad or anything, so don't get me wrong. Just great that someone complaining about arrogance is doing it, in well, an arrogant way.
Lastly, I didn't say that is not what he meant to say. I said he did not say that. Which he did not. The title and your representation of the clip is incredibly misleading. I really don't know how else to put it.

Her: I don't know how you can go through life being this insulted. Clearly there is nothing good that will ever come out of a debate between us. Yes I'm a sarcastic person. If you don't like it, don't engage in a debate with me. I don't comment on anything you post. You comment on mine.
