I hope I'm not having a heart attack. I'm only 32. But this pain in my shoulder is horrible. I did carry a heavy box around for a lot of the day. I just ate like shit this past week I'm worried that the deluge of pizza is taking me off world.

Michelle thinks it's nothing. I took some aspirin and we'll see.

Just hurts up by my shoulder joint, radiating into the top part of my chest. Heart rate is fine. Don't have a blood pressure cuff.

Umm, if you're worried at all get it checked out. It's much better to look stupid than to look stupid and dead.

Yeah Beez don't mess around if you think something is wrong. I've seen more than my fair share of fucked up medical stuff this year that can start with something minor.

I know I'm usually a dick, but I would talk to your doctor about getting a stress test for your heart. Those things can save your life, and if you are worried about your heart it might be a good appointment to set up.

Here's a list of symptoms. I cut and pasted this from the Mayo clinic website.

Chest discomfort or pain This discomfort or pain can feel like a tight ache, pressure, fullness or squeezing in the center of your chest lasting more than a few minutes. This discomfort may come and go.
Upper body pain Pain or discomfort may spread beyond your chest to your shoulders, arms, back, neck, teeth or jaw. You may have upper body pain with no chest discomfort.
Stomach pain Pain may extend downward into your abdominal area and may feel like heartburn.
Shortness of breath You may pant for breath or try to take in deep breaths. This often occurs before you develop chest discomfort or you may not experience any chest discomfort.
Anxiety You may feel a sense of doom or feel as if you're having a panic attack for no apparent reason.
Lightheadedness In addition to chest pressure, you may feel dizzy or feel like you might pass out.
Sweating You may suddenly break into a sweat with cold, clammy skin.
Nausea and vomiting You may feel sick to your stomach or vomit.

well, feeling much better now. Pretty sure it is a muscular thing. Michelle massaged my shoulder, and there's the mother of all knots there, and when she touched it, I could tell that was the source of the discomfort. I fell asleep about a half hour ago and then woke up feeling much better.

I am prone to anxiety attacks, so there's that too.

Thanks for the concern guys. I have a doctor's appointment a week from Monday, so I'll see what the doc thinks then.

anxiety or panic??? do they come out of nowhere??? if theyre induced by outside sources, theyre anxiety, but if theyre panic, id mention it to the doctor. might be an imbalance.

Definitely anxiety. It's the end of vacation, I start work again on Monday. I hate the "back to real life" part. I feel like I'm going back to school.

I feel like no matter what time I get home at night I have to watch at least half an hour of TV.

When my wife was pregnant with our first I developed the habit of waking up in the middle of the night out of sheer panic or something. I'd stay up for an hour or so and then go back to bed. On one of those nights, I logged into our PNC account online and all the balances read ZERO. It turned out it was just a glitch and everything was back to normal by morning, but it didn't help the panic issue in the short run
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

I had that moment, only it occurred at Costco. I called my wife and it turns out we really did spend all virtually our paycheck already (we got paid on Friday). Tuna sandwiches for two weeks FTW
