Work with a guy who listens to conservative talk radio. Have they ever been on a gay marriage themed rant lately. I honestly don't mind what the shows typically are (incredibly biased but that's most/all political shows) but holy hell, it's been downright embarrassing the past week.

The one guy keeps saying he's not biased/bigoted/whatever because he's against gay marriage. He just says feels the consequences to society could be dire. Naturally, he never gives a single concrete example of what that could mean. (Or the fact that several states and countries already have it and society hasn't crumbled there)

When I first met my wife, we were at a party, she was wearing cat-eye glasses, showed me her tatoos on her shoulders and when she asked me if I wanted to go to her car and listen to the new me first and the gimmme-gimme's, I knew I was in love.

Anyone ever use Staples copy and print?
I needed about 21 legal sized 8.5x14" pages printed with a binder, so I set it up on their web site. I got the "we got your order and are working on it" e-mail last night and went to sleep cause I had to get up early. Noticed today that I had a voice mail from them saying they can't put a binder on 8.5x14, only 8.5x11. Anyone know if this is standard at Staples or maybe just something weird at the one I happened to choose pickup from? I can't call them back yet to see what to do (order is on hold) but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this. It seems odd to me that 1) it's even an option if it can't be done and 2) they don't have binders for that sized paper.

3 ring binders are usually 4 holes, no? i don't think legal-sized paper is common prepunched.

Sorry, I stink with words. It's called a "classic coverbind" so it's kind of like an actual book. No punch holes or anything.

a) Yes

b) More or less standard that any - ANY - low volume variations (hee, legal size paper) will grind their processing to a halt

1) & 2) oh, it can be done, so it's an option they offer, but you'll be lucky to find the one outlet that can handle it without multiple false starts. Probably an outlet that serves scores of lawyers/law firms could field it cleanly

The construction of print materials can entail a dizzying variety of options and engages a decreasing number of competent practitioners (due no doubt to economic/technical realities). Not a combination of factors that bodes well for the even-slightly-particular consumer
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

I figured that screencap that titlehungry posted on FB had to be a fake. But no, Western Sky Financial really does exist, and you can borrow money at 342%. It's run out of an American Indian nation in South Dakota. I think I may go into the lending business. But srsly, do these people get any customers at all???

Why did my Sony stereo's iPod dock stop working overnight? iPod and iPhone won't play music through it. Very disappointing.
