I've just decided to ignore anyone who thinks they have any idea what is going on when my kids decide to go Three Mile Island...had to flip the bird at a couple of people who have shot dirty looks at me when I've tried to discipline my children in public.

I have spent this afternoon working on some grad school work. We had to interview a female who graduated high school before 1970 to get a sense of what her experience with sport looked like growing up. I interviewed my grandmother who graduated from William Penn HS (Harrisburg) in 1945. She lent me her senior class yearbook to help with the presentation aspect of the assignment.

The book is incredibly fascinating. I love the fact that the actual book is 70 years old. It has a list of a few staff members who were not there that year because of military service. There are actually girls athletics. The emphasis on them is much less, but still interesting to read about. The football team has about six pages dedicated to it. All girls sports have about five pages combined.

She has a ton if signatures with messages, just like you would do now with a yearbook. They are short but still cool to read. All but one or two are in cursive.

Must have been a hell of a time to grow up in.

Democrats were in charge and the Yankees ruled baseball. It was like the late 90s...
