I've got this gentle yoga routine I do twice a day, it's been a life saver. I've had chronic pain for about 5 years and I've been painfully inflexible my entire life. My friend (who is a yoga instructor) told me the only thing similar she'd seen was a 60 year old woman with fused vertebrae. Before I started a forward fold meant my hands could reach my knees, they're down to about half way down my shins now.

So each block I repeat twice before moving on. Takes me about 6-10 minutes

up dog

I forget what this one is called, but sit cross legged, reach with your hand across to the opposite knee and then turn and look over that shoulder (right hand on left knee, look over your left shoulder and vice versa)
Legs straight out, arms up, turn to each side. Really want to make sure your lower back isn't hunched over here
