I'd like 5-10k to redo my wardrobe. It's time to bring style back, and I'd like to do my part. (Yes, in part inspired by Madmen, but also inspired by Indiana Jones and the scene where he's teaching class.) Maybe I'd need more money than that--3 pairs of shoes, 5 pairs of dress pants, 5 blazers, a couple of bespoke suits, maybe a 3rd suit in linen, 7 dress shirts, plus accessories. I do have a nice Brooks Brothers seer sucker blazer. Maybe I could lose a bunch of weight and get back into my white linen double breasted blazer.

if i had 5-10k to blow, i would probably use it to buy pizza and beer.

not for nothing, but i feel like being a mother is NOT the toughest job on the planet. i've seen lots of idiots that are moms and raise perfectly fine children.

Not the toughest, but the hours suck.

Plus, no vacation or sick days. If I have a cold, I have to suck it up. I had surgery two months ago, and felt bad that I needed Vox to take an extra day off because I wasn't back on my feet.

Just feel like people are pandering to their own moms when they say this junk.

Now, single working mothers? Damn, that's tiring. Still say the Prez has more on his plate.

the whole comment controversy is ridiculous. she's trying to say that mrs. romney has no idea what every day people think w/r/t the economy. the gop and then media made a big deal out of it by twisting her words. i'm just fucking sick of hearing about it a week late.

It can be worse than that, trust me.

The worst time I had was when VoxJr was having seizures, and Vox had just gone back to work, on the overnights. One time I got caught in doctor's appointments all day, was coming home with a sedated VoxJr to a dark empty house, with no dinner for either of us, and I basically had to hold on to him the whole time while getting things done. That whole time, from when he was diagnosed until we got them under control was about nine or ten weeks, but no period of time has had a more lasting effect on my life.

Second worse was when VoxJr was in the hospital and BabyVox was about six months old. And Vox had just started his new job, and couldn't really miss work. I had to stay with VoxJr and pump during the night, and Vox would just bring BabyVox to the hospital in the morning, I would run home, shower, grab something to eat, and then run back so Vox could go to work.

yeah wasn't saying that was the hardest, just saying it's pretty damn hard.

So, Bonobos--people like them? Last fall I did buy a bunch of khakis from Lands End, and they're fine. I do think I'm pretty hard on my clothes for whatever reason.

I like this blazer a lot. This looks stylish and professorial. But I don't think I can justify the $1200 price tag.
