Cleverly Titled Random Thoughts Thread

My wife's cousin's girlfriend, the mother of their two children -- the second of whom was born two weeks ago -- passed away on Friday night. Apparently she overdosed on medication she was taking for postpartum depression. She had once been addicted to heroin, though I don't know if that was still the case.

They had a big fight Friday night and my wife's cousin took the kids to his parents' house. A few hours after that, she collapsed and died. They don't know for sure if the overdose was accidental or a suicide, and there will be no further investigation because foul play has been ruled out.

Feel so awful for him and the kids, the younger of whom will have never known his mother.

I feel like crappy beer is the way to go when you're doing manual labor. You need something with a mild flavor and low alcohol content.

This is a good point that I had not considered. However, I feel like a good summer microbrew would suffice, as well.

While that is true, it would also triple your beer costs. Miller is cheap and plentiful and tastes okay and gets you drunk slowly.

Yeah, but good pizza also triples your costs. And even Little Caesers tastes good when you're moderately drunk.

I beg to differ

The country to the north of Israel: Why do we call it "Lebanon" but Brits call it "The Lebanon"?

I'm with Barry Jive on this. Maybe though it's because good pizza is a much bigger rarity in these parts that good beer.

I go with good pizza AND good beer. I think that's best.

I once axed the Major who was our liason to the Brit Artillery School why the Brits still insisted on driving on the wrong side of the road. He replied: "Because they're assholes."

I laffed.

i think it comes down to if you'd rather eat shitty pizza or drink shitty beer. i'm much more fond of good beer than good pizza.
