Also if everyone has a gun how does one identify the original shooter amongst the chaos? Sounds like a recipe for mass killings by mistaken identity.

Back in 07, I was living in northern VA and one of my roommates had a part time job waiting tables at Red Lobster. One of his co-workers was this 20 year old Korean guy, born in the US, been here his whole life. One of his tables asked him where he was from. After the usual wrangling (this is a tricky question to ask an Asian American person, especially one who was born in the US, FYI), he said his parents were from Korea. The table asked for a different server. The server told the manager (white guy), who after talking to the table, asked them to leave rather than give them a different server.

Incidents such as this was why Asian people on facebook and in real life had to distance themselves from the tragedy.


that's pretty unfortunate. some people...glad the manager stood up for the kid. the lesson here is never go to Red Lobster in Virginia

There is a less likely chance the person would be able to commit a mass murder if people have the means to defend themselves.

okay, let's continue this thought experiment. let's say a gunfight spills over into the hallways or outside, since average people suck at shooting, then you have multiple guns drawn and no way for most of the campus to discern the hostile shooter. and tons of people getting hit by crossfire. sounds lovely.
