Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about Beezid.com? Kevin Smith advertises for it. I took a look at the site, and it just seems too good to be true.

It's scammy

It's just like Swoopo or Qibids(sp?). While it looks cheap and fun, the only person getting a great deal (maybe) is the person that wins (and that's hard to do).

Here's the scam: Every bid costs money, so while someone may get a laptop for like half price or whatever, Beezids ends up probably making multiples of the actual retail price of that item

The cost for each bid will vary based on the package you choose. Bids are available in packs of 30, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 and range from $0.55 - $0.90 per bid. The more bids you buy, the cheaper it gets for each bid, and the greater the savings you can enjoy! Get yourself a Bid Pack and jump into the savings!

It looks like they've done a good job at making it seem less scammy with the whole "bid package" thing, but either way you're PAYING THEM just for the privilege of making a bid. And then you pay again. And then again. And againnnnnnnnnnnn. It's entirely possible spend tens or hundreds of dollars bidding on items only to lose and get nothing

Bottom line: Beezid gets rich and ONE person out of dozens or hundreds gets something on the cheap

If it seems too good to be true

Those penny auctions are a scam, from what I understand. The way it works is you can get something for a really low price, an iPad for $40 for instance, BUT you have to buy all of you bids. So if you wanna bid from $30.00 to $30.01, you have to purchase a bid from the auction company. Then they have all sorts of rules where if someone bids on an item it extends the auction time for an hour and stuff like that. Maybe you'll make out in the end, but you probably won't, you'll probably wind up spending a bunch of money bidding on something and then not even win the auction.

Fwiw, I've never used one, but my brother-in-law did, and that was his impression of it.

I got into quibids for a little while, and had a bit of fun with it. if you watch how it works for a while, it's fairly easy to win some of the small stuff for next to nothing (but they will charge shipping, which isn't exorbitant, but it sort of detracts from the excitement of winning a wii remote charger for a penny). The big stuff can be tricky. I devoted a full day to bidding on and winning my ipad, and after everything probably saved about 125 dollars off retail. I probably wouldn't do it again, but at that point I had gotten a little cracked out on it and was sort of playing it like a game.

So, yeah, it is too good to be true to some extent, but it's not entirely a scam either. If you take your time with it and watch how people bid, how the automatic bids work, when and at what price auctions typically end, you can probably score a good deal. If you go in on an auction for an ipad with 15 people bidding at like $1.50, and think you're going to outbid people, you'll waste all your bids and go away unhappy. Also they have a "buy it now" option that applies what you spent in bids to the purchase price, so if you've got 60 dollars worth of bids down on a $100 item, you can just pay 40 bucks and buy the thing. So if it's something you plan on buying anyway, it's a fun way to shop for it.

Haha 69 ye

Its amazing to me that india is as sexually conservative as it is given the fact that we wrote the kama sutra. Not to mention a world famous temple which is covered in depictions of lord shiva having sex with his wife (wives).

But yeah
