Random Timid Endeavors, a PrattRules Task

I wanna move. Where should I move to? I wanna go to San Diego, but I don't think I can convince my wife to move that far away, probably have to stay on the east coast. Thinking Tampa or Charlotte.... hmmm.

Tampa and Charlotte would be nice. Savannah, Jacksonville and Charleston seem like awesome places.

PS Take me.

If/when I'm back on the east coast, Boston would be my pick. Savannah and Charleston would be higher but not many career opportunities in either city for me.

Jacksonville is a shit hole. Tampa isn't great, but the surrounding area is amazing.

Hmmm... Savannah is nice, we spent a week there for a wedding a few years back. I'll have to look at that, Jacksonville is out. That's where my boss lives, and I don't want to move close to him, then I'll have to meet with him more frequently. What is Charleston like? I'll have to check into it.

If the notion that San Diego is too far is due to expectations of home travel fairly often, pick somewhere in Central FLA,within driving distance of Orlando. Fare from PHL to ORL are always real cheap.

Boston would be nice, but I'm looking for cheaper cost of living. I can work from where ever I want in the lower 48 and my salary point stays where it's at, so I'm trying to find a nice place to live, decent schools, lower cost of living than where I am now, Wilmington. I started playing with that CNN money cost of living calculator someone posted and been looking at how much further my money would go elsewhere.

Pretty much, I have a friend in the Navy who was deployed there and raved about it. It is a southern charm town right on the water. They have a minor league baseball team, so there is that.

Do you definitely want to be near the ocean? Big city, suburb, small city, small town, country?

If I were in your situation, I'd consider something like Annapolis or Saint Michaels on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I'd imagine Annapolis is not cheap, but I'd think Saint Micheals might not be crazy expensive. But figure most really nice places to live with all the stuff you want is going to cost money.

I've also fantasized about living in Key West. But I have no idea how ridiculous that is.

My dream place is Honolulu, HI. I would honestly live in a 200 sq foot place to make this happen.
