I remember when I told my dad that I'd be a millionaire like his dad (my grandpa was rich but had 11 kids so that money is gone), but only because of inflation. I think I was 10 or so. I was a weird kid.

Only on one side. And not the good kind of old money that came with me (or my folks) getting money out of it. The money was heavily diluted by the good Irish Catholic adherence of not using birth control and them having 11 kids.

My shoulder pops everytime I move it and is sore pretty frequently. I have narrowed it down to 1. Frequent minor dislocations 2. A mess of bone spurs/scar tissue.

I wish there was an easy way to see my posts from a previous night. I suppose I could search my own screen name and go to recent posts, but I kind of wish they were all just there confronting me the next morning when I log in. I say some things when I drink, and I never know if I should be worried about them.

So the venue that we've been using to run a series of racing crits at for well over 10 years now contacts me today, 2 months after I first spoke to them about dates, and says they need to review pricing. The review suggested is an increase from £1500 for all five events to £15000. Pretty much doubles the budget of the event, and puts it all on site. Apparently the old fee didn't truly reflect the costs required to allow us to stage the event.

My response by e-mail was cordial, and maybe we'll find some useful middle ground.

My inital reaction on reading the e-mail was not.

that was easily the hardest thing I've ever done, probably more rewarding than it feels like right now. I think I'll look back on it in a week and be really fucking happy I did it.
