I can't believe anyone uses Colgate toothpaste. It's like the white bread of dental care. No wonder so many people have bad breath.

I use Kirkland toothpaste. It's like... the Kirkland white bread of dental care.

Sensodyne.

I never noticed how different it felt/tasted until I had to use something else recently.

We live ~2 hours from any family and she never wants to hire a babysitter or ask someone we know down here to watch him for a few hours, so we pretty much never get a night out together (or separately for that matter), or do anything except "kid stuff".

Obviously I hate to play the role of social assassin but you need to nip this shit in the bud. You're wife is being an idiot and she could cause both of you to be in counselling. Honestly you should probably seek it out now. Taking a vacation without the kids re-energizes you and enables you to give more as a parent. A date night once a month or even once every two weeks reminds you guys why you're married and it's NOT just to serve as farmers to your kids. Your wife is being unreasonable and it's dangerous.

This is only going to get HARDER with two kids. Go take a babymoon. If you want, I'm happy to call her up and tell her the same stuff. Tough love.

Well that's really what I wanted to do was take a babymoon, go to Mexico or the Virgin Islands or some such place and just sit on the beach for a week. I did attempt to get the ball rolling on this, and we have some success brewing, a woman that I used to work with has a daughter my sons age and she is going to watch him for an hour one night next week. If that goes well, which it willl, then we might start getting a date night here and there. I'm going to keep on trying for a babymoon, I really think a 3 day cruise to nowhere out of New York or Baltimore isn't too much to ask for. In that case our son would be with either her parents (who successfully raised 3 kids) or my parents (who successfully raised 2 kids) and I'm sure a cruise ship has internet access, so she can still check in via email and know that everything is fine and we can have a few days to ourselves and, like you said in your follow up post, connect with our unborn child. I think that's a great point, and I'm absolutely going to use it.

I don't see why anyone would ever favor white bread over wheat. Wheat is one of the few foods that tastes good and is better for you too. I don't think white is cheaper.

My Big Three (assuming kaiser rolls or something of the like is not available)

1. Potato- for rolls- horrible for your health
2. Wheat- for most sandwiches
3. White- last resort

I wish I ate Rye bread more. I feel like I never see it anymore.

My parents never, ever bought white bread, so I got the taste for wheat very young. I like white bread now but I'll almost always opt for whole wheat or something like it if I'm getting a sandwich.
