One of her focuses was, of course, that she was charged with working on ethics and corruption issues.

Vincent Gray has to be the stupidest mayor DC has anointed yet. Clearly he is befuddled at how to make a quality decision.

MSNBC might be the worst network ever. I think its target demographic is the mentally ill, and anyone who watched last night's debate really should seek therapy or something. I think it's quite possible that the typical MSNBC program does more harm to liberalism than anything Fox might run. There's a lot more to life than 24/7 politics.

TV, I love that you clicked the wrong post to quote because it is also a bit of perfection to put DC politics into any context where mental illness is involved given the public's record of electing grossly incompetent, tragically corrupt officials.

As a sidenote, I hope dajafi didn't put any serious money on his longshot Bachmann to be nominee bet idea. Bhaha.

Are you sure you're not confusing dajafi with me? I know I stopped talking about it when it became somewhat plausible.

I quoted what dajafi said like four posts above your post

O'Donnell dissecting the scuttling creatures of the outer right with his odd & icy combination of scalpel and sledgehammer is a guilty pleasure, but even that must be consumed in measured doses

McMahon throws down for another CT senate bid

"wrestling mogul" as an epithet for a 60ish white woman of means has a vaguely filthy feel to it

Here's hoping there are some sensible people with dough who find it worthwhile to fund a Chris Shays run. CT is not MN; no wrassler folk for high office here, thank you (with apologies to 3count).

Heres the story.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44444344/ns ... mlILU9eTaM

Intelligence from Pakistan indicated the threat might involve car bombs and might target bridges or tunnels, WNBC reported.

I have no idea what this means..

An administration official told NBC News the threat "so far" was a 5 to 6 on a scale of 10.

Has there ever been a more useless country in the history of the world than Pakistan? Maybe Somali?

Buster_ESPN Buster Olney
Democrats cheered every word of Obama's speech, Republicans refused to cheer. In other words: same old posturing on both sides. Tiresome.

Yeah; now that was the guy I voted for. Here is hoping that the level of urgency/shame/anger/etc. that he showed last night actually carries over and translates to some jobs and a growing economy.

it won't. the odds that more than 25 percent of what he proposed goes through congress has to be around 5 percent.
