Smoothie,
I know exactly what swish said. It's easy when you use plain language as opposed to the way you give yourself mental orgasms by contorting your words. His opinion is nearly identical to my opinion and a lot further away from wiz's opinion.

jeff, what we had once was beautiful, and I hope - I know - that someday your heartache & bitterness will fade

Some Libya news...

Apparently, Gadoofi has/had a buncha stuff in storage in/near Tripoli... hundreds of tons of yellowcake uranium stored at one facility and like 10 metric tons of mustard blister agent (plus other chemicals agents) stored at another, and anywhere from 50,000 - 500,000 shoulder fired missles... and no one knows who's in control of all that nifty stuff. NATO /thinks/ what's left of the Libya govt is still in control, but ain't sure. It's suspected some of that stuff may already be on the black market. BTW, their shoulder fired missles are called MANPADS (chortle).

Britain has boots on the ground to hunt Gadoofi.

Reports of rebels rounding up blacks and Africans in Tripoli and executing them. Also reports The Gadoofies executed a dozen or so political activists. The rebels also have already started turning on each other (two groups are, as of 20 minutes ago, battling each other in Tripoli).

Moe's major crush on Condoleezza Rice...

Among the many bizarre items uncovered as Libyan rebels ransacked Muammar Gaddafi's Tripoli compound: an album filled with photos of former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

"I support my darling black African woman," Gaddafi told al-Jazeera television in 2007. "I admire and am very proud of the way she leans back and gives orders to the Arab leaders... Leezza, Leezza, Leezza. I love her very much."

Hear that the former Mass governor got himself a debt clock. Where I like the clock in general and at its position in D.C., I don't like that he thinks we are so dumb to attribute this fiasco to one political party, especially since the clock was moving the other way about 11 years ago (although a close examination of the housing crisis would say that "we" were playing with house chips at that time).

I think this hurricane means that God hates Christie and what he's doing in NJ.

It's the only explanation.

Also, why can't he stop it if he's so great?

I for one find it very suspicious that Rick Perry hasn't discharged his throbbing PrayerWeapon into the heart of the hurricane. Then again, it is expected to do most of its damage on the East Coast; I'm sure he thinks we have it coming for our wicked ways.

Speaking of Texas pols and Irene... Ron Paul to hurricane victims: drop dead

I agree, Ron. I'm sure you'll take your horse and buggy to your next speaking engagement, where you'll stand on a soapbox and badmouth the Irish and Chinese without the use of a microphone. And if your kid gets pneumonia, you'll refuse to give him antibiotics.

I'm at the point where I am pretty much sick of the democratic party and the fact that they have obviously also been bought off, but Christ, the GOP is a bunch of fucking assholes.

He wants us to go back to the glory days of Galveston, TX in 1900 (his home district). This guy is beyond a satire.

The families burned the bodies, right? I mean, they didn't have big government open air crematoriums in those days.

The fact that Michele Bachmann is even a candidate for POTUS scares the shit out of me:

The way I look at it... a person has to be bat shit crazy to even want to be prez, so it comes as no surprise when you get a bunch of bat shit crazy people vying for the WH.
