just finished a project for my finance class. at least i think i finished it. as i really have no idea what we were actually supposed to do or how much detail we were supposed to go in to.

this is what we were supposed to do. pick a case study from our text book and then improve the company some how. this is how he explained to go about doing that

Your assignment will be to create a pro forma business plan to lead your case study business forward; including the creation of a balance sheet, for your vision for the organization. You may use the figures provided in the text or make up your own. Either way you should support why you have provided the figures you have and forecast how you anticipate them changing given your business plan.
There is no specific length required for this project, only that you provide the information you feel adequately addresses your business plan with supporting data, while being considerate of a busy Board’s limited time and attention.

seems to be fairly real-world to me. Make a convincing argument in as short a space as possible. But it has to be bullet-proof- no leaving gaping holes in the name of brevity. It's what people are asked to do all over the business world. I set up a power point and have 30 minutes to prove to a customer that they need my product. Choose those 15 slides very carefully.

hated when professors gave pretty large scale assignments with vague descriptions, then had this "no no you guys did it all wrong" attitude when 80% of the class handed in an "uhh...is this right?" assignment.
