To be fair, this place gets pretty darn confusing when everyone picks the same player for their avatar.
So far the Eagles have been unable willing to at least make a good will jester - Garry Cobb, Professional Sportswriter

From what I read, it's because the presenters were forced to wear those jackets by the owners of the station. They kept taking them off because it was so hot and getting in trouble, so they were warned not to (some sites say they were sewn into the jackets at the start of each show so they couldn't take them off - dunno if that's true though). So the joke is that she's saying it's so hot that you won't need a jacket when they're forced to wear them, which cracks Arthur up
