I work with this older black lady (well, I work with several, but there's one in particular) who calls everybody "jizzballs," like all day long. Some cop says something really stupid and she calls him a jizzball. It's the best. I'm pretty sure she's called me a jizzball at least once. She's probably laughed at something I've said at least as many times, though. She somewhat patronizingly calls me South Philly Kev because her family grew up in my neighborhood when it was all black people and none of the gentrification bull shit. But she's cool about it, and she talks to me about the neighborhood.

I've only been to a couple of Jewish funerals but so far they are much better than Catholic funerals. I really don't like to see embalmed bodies and the rabbis just seem to know much more about the dearly departed.
