I wish we had more fruit in the house, besides apples. All we ever have in the fruit department is apples. How bout some cantaloupe or grapes?

I'm going to give Wilco a listen to at work today. I've never really listened to them much, save for YHF.

Bought a some bananas over the weekend and that seemed a good decision until they started to over-ripen a bit when I still had three left. That got me thinking about banana bread, and then about old-fashioned banana bread recipes. Then I realized how crazy it is to have an old-fashioned banana bread when the main ingredient is a tropical fruit which didn't become prevalent in the US until the massive shipping and refrigeration was in place to create a steady supply.

Then I had some Rice Krispies.

I was gonna say YHF is the only album of theirs I really love (and it's one of my very favorite records) but I always forget about that Mermaid Avenue one. I agree with Housh.

Yeah, I'm not well-versed in pre-YHF Wilco, but the ones that came after it have all been a pass for me

"summerteeth" is a close second behind "YHF" for me.

Jay Bennett really made that band's recorded output special.
