Wawa pretzels used to be really good. Then they apparently changed suppliers and became average. Then they changed suppliers again and became horrible.

Wawa was buying pretzels from various vendors depending on where the Wawa was located. Then, like Amaroso and everything else, they decided they wanted fewer delivery trucks and could make them cheaper themselves (though Amoroso still makes the rolls, they do it under a different name and make shitty low quality rolls on purpose). They just didn't get a pretzel recipie, more like "browned bread with some salt".
