And why, pray tell, are you doing this?

a few reasons

1) Curiosity
2) I'm rather manic today and not thinking clearly
3) I gained 2 pounds this week despite being on a diet and feel rather despondent about it so I am using extreme measures to right the ship

1 is a good reason. 2 cannot be helped I suppose. But you know 3 is pretty faulty reasoning, right? I mean, if you were trying to make weight for a wrestling match it would work, but in terms of taking off pound gained due to wing eating and sloth, fasting isn't going to get the job done permanently.

I did not eat wings (or anything "bad") or not exercise this week, I did have some wine last weekend but I am at a loss as to why else I would have gained 2 lbs unless my dehydration from a bug was greater than I thought at the end of last week's weigh in.

sometimes that happens over the course of trying to lose weight. i've been on the same mission and would stick to my normal routine, but some weeks i'd drop multiple pounds and another week i'd gain 1 or 2. i'm sure next week you'll be back down a few pounds.

A friend of mine (Duke) drank gin as part of his diet plan. Duke decided that gin ate fat cells like the Pac man things gobbled up those things they gobbled up.

When he wanted to lose weight fast he'd go on "The All-Gin Diet." It really didn't work at all but there's no arguing with a lush.

When I went Germany awaiting movement to Saudi Arabia et al, I ran into another old buddy from that time, "Johnny Blue." When I asked him if he had heard from Duke, he said he was stationed fairly close by and he'd get ahold of him and we'd go out and celebrate the impending deployment.

It turned out Duke was in rehab after getting his second DUI. The Army must have liked Duke too because at the time a DUI usually meant a quick exit from the Armed Services.

pretty dumb. you don't make a rash decision based on a seven day result. change your workout regimen. eat something different. your body gets used to the same stuff.

I hardly ever actually go into a bank, but I think I need to start finding reasons to do so. I don't think I've ever been in a bank where there wasn't at least one hot teller.

I actually like interacting with the tellers at the bank. I was going to get direct deposit, but decided not to after coming to that realization. Most of the tellers at my bank know what they're doing and are quite pleasant.
