Related but entirely hypothetical at this point - my wife has applied for some jobs in the philly area recently which has piqued my interest in moving to philly. The complicated part, of course, outside of being 1hr way from my current job that I don't plan to leave immediately, is that I have 3 young kids. Is this a stupid idea given the dude's issues? What areas should I look into? Is it possible/advisable to raise kids in the city? I know Fairmount is ok and rittenhouse (out of my league $-wise most likely) is nice. Any other areas I should look into that is good for families?
