absolutely. people don't do this nearly enough. getting quotes takes almost no time and can save you a ton. there's no reason not to be an insurance whore. i know geico, erie and strickler are dominating pa right now and all three will probably be lower than allstate.

*i said strickler but that's an agency. i can't remember what their main company is but i know it's cheap.

USAA -- best insurance ever.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can

In all seriousness, a friend of mine recently started his own Erie insurance practice (is practice the right word?) --home, auto, life, etc. He's licensed in both PA and Virginia, so if anyone is interested in getting a quote from him I'd be happy to refer you. He saved me and my wife a decent amount of money, and I guarantee you'll get great service. PM me if you're interested. He'll get you a free quote pretty quickly

I'm not quite so grownup that I can afford a new car. I got a 2005 Hyundai Sonata that only had like 18k miles on it. An old person probably owned it or something...I'm not sure how you only put like 3k miles a year on a car. Drove nicely on the way home, and it was pretty cheap. We talked the sales people down quite a bit. They are always anxious to make sales at the end of the month to hit quotas.

They are nice cars. 18000 miles not much at all. That's actually probably the way to go. I just can't believe how sleek even the new Camry's look. So tempting.

You want to get the LIndsey Lohan treatment?

Yes I would love her to give me Lindsey Lohan treatment. But I also kind of just like her. She is so stupid and likeable.

SPEAKING of becoming a grownup...I have to miss every game from Wednesday to next Tuesday as I will not have internet in ND until next Tuesday. Maybe I'll try to find a bar with Extra Innings and bug the crap out of them to turn the Phillies on. I got my slingbox ready for after that, thought.

I just ate some Oreos before remembering that I have a dentist appointment at 8AM tomorrow. The hygienist is going to think I've been eating piles of dirt.

My policy cost, say, 1400/ year single. My wife cost $600/year as an added driver on her parents' policy. My wife and I now pay $1000/year together.

That's funny because she's not a very good driver. I'm kidding (sort of).

I don't let her drive. It's ok.
