Also I think I've read that the only portion of Amtrak's service that is profitable is the Boston-DC line, and they make their monies on us to subsidize train travel in the rest of the country.

Thanks for the well wishes but I definitely spoke too soon. I took enough oxycodone last night to kill an elephant because my shoulder hurt so bad. No idea what happened after that but now I'm pissing Gatorade orangish/red, my ribs are killing me, and it looks like there is a golf ball coming out of my collar bone. I must have taken a bit of a tumble at some point so I guess I have to go back to the hospital tonight but I'm going to wait until like 2 am when it's less crowded.
