You know that show "I Shouldn't Be Alive" on Discovery? At this point I think they could do a whole season on me alone. I wrapped my car around a tree doing about 40 mph on Monday and *only* walked away with a separated shoulder, tore a ligament between my forearm and wrist, a heart contusion (never even knew that was a possible), a concussion, 2 black eyes (I was wearing glasses), and a bunch of bumps and bruises. My back is sore but I didn't feel anything pop so that's a good sign. But obviously it could have been A LOT worse.

I hit so hard that the seatbelt bracket snapped in half and they had to cut the driver side door and brake pedal off so I could get out. I'm telling you it's going to take a fucking grizzly bear or some Tony Montana shit to kill my ass.

Just a dumb mistake. Hit a pothole and the car started pulling real hard to the left. I dropped something went to pick it up for like 2 seconds and when I looked up I was in the wrong lane with a car coming straight at me. I overcompensated to get back in my lane and hit a ditch that was like 2 feet from the street so half of the car was on the road the other half in the ditch. The brakes wouldn't work... Boom. The Fire Dept said they saw a trail of brake fluid when I went off the road.

It was a Buick LeSabre that we were about to sell. This was my 2nd head on collision. I've mentioned it a bunch of times in the past but an old lady crossed into oncoming traffic and hit me and my wife exactly 4 weeks before our wedding day. That was a Mitsubishi and handled the impact much better imo.

Not for nothing, but it's unbelievable how much your shoulder affects you without even realizing it. I have to hold my left arm up with my right hand at the perfect angle at all times or the pain is excruciating. I got like a Bob Dole thing going on except I can barely even hold a pen. My wife is handling everything I can't even wash my own hands or change shirts or button my own pants right now. This shit is no joke. Although unrelated when the trauma center did a CT scan they told me I have gall bladder disease so that's going to have to come out soon which is always nice to hear,
