can a place on 43rd and lancaster really have good food? well, more importantly, can the food be good enough for me to go to 43rd and lancaster?

it could be awesome. i've had some awesome fucking food made by black people.

i've driven through West Philly a lot when going from Center City to Delco and i'd probably opt out of stopping for anything while there.

Going there would break the golden rule I set when I used to live in this neighborhood: don't go west of Scooters on Lancaster. That's been a pretty good rule to live by. I think the last time I crossed that barrier I had a conversation with a gentleman who referred to himself as "the mutha fuckin bastard of this neighborhood."

The kids in Bristol used to be hot as a pistol when the did the Bristol Stomp (whoa-whowww).

Not sure if that's still true.

Had a friend who used to call Bristol: "Briscoe."

didt know where to put this but the state released a huge document with all the names of people and businesses that are delinquent taxpayers. it is really easy to search through if you want to type in your home town and see if you or anyone you know is there.

i'm wondering how individual people owe a cigarette tax?

also, a lot of pizza joints i know seem to decide that they don't have to pay taxes

apparently the works, a pretty popular joint around wyomissing, owes over 20k!

Anyone remember all the hand wringing by old folks abut how kids these days get their news from the Colbert Report and that Jon Stewart guy's show?

I'm pretty sure I get most of my news from this here board. I wonder what they think of that?

For almost 2 years now I've been trying to figure out what bar I ended up at after the Phillies WFC parade. Now I'm here looking at something on foobooz and I think I've finally solved the riddle....Locust Rendezvous. Might have to check the place out and see if that's it.

Jose Pistola's is one of my favorite spots. Good margaritas, good draft beer selection, great jukebox. Phils game is always on.
