I see this kind of construction some times... it doesn't make sense. You refer to a sandwich by what's in the middle, not by what's on the outside. So really, you were the douchebag in a douchebag sandwich.

Totally do it. Stage races are awesome...wish there were more here in the states. And phatj, Cat 1/2, at least in the US, are the top two amateur classes. They fast.

aye, it's the same over here. Everyone starts at Cat 4 once they get a racing licence, and if you accrue sufficient points in a season you'll be bumped up to a Cat 3 and you'll never be cat 4 ever again. But after that, you need to maintain a points tally once you've got up to a new category. Despite being a qualified assistant commissaire, I am hazy as to how Elite category relates to amateur status. Maybe I should read my British Cycling handbook more often.

It would be nice to have everything in place for next year, but I'll need to do some research first. Since it would be primarily an amateur undertaking, there's a lot more emphasis on coordination and checking, especially if you're running it across 3 stages (although in my head the possibility of four is tempting, it's probably a stretch too far). An event is only as good as its staff, and all that.

Still though, I'm definitely going to try and do it. Scotland has a nice variety of terrain so we could get some good routes out of it. Will have to be may/june which is generally when scottish weather is best. Accommodation would be an issue, as would trying to organise a big finish in a city. That costs a fair bit, because you have to organise and pay for road closures and police help.

OK, so I decided on the last free nap time I probably have ever, to finish up some yardwork that really needed to be done (BabyVox is the napping one, and VoxJr had has his last full day of school for the year).

I take a couple bags of mulch and start dumping in the bed around the front of the house, and stop short for a second. Because this is right at my eye level:

And sitting on another branch...

This dang birds sat there the whole time I'm working two feet away from them. I went in and got my camera. I got the weedwacker out and trimmed all the grass around the house. And they never left.

I WAS planning to get rid of this tree this fall, because it is planted right at the corner of the house, but there's a nest there.

so i worked at McD's in high school, and gave my 2 weeks' before heading off to West Chester, and the owner was like "Hold on, i want to talk to you". Basically, he wanted me to not go to college, and go to HamU. I said no, and he ended up literally being the bearded guy in the basement playing with a toy train set full time

If he was the owner he still makes more money than all of us. Good for him. Now, if he was the general manager, then HA HA

How much can you bring home in a year as the owner of one MickeyD's franchise?
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

Average is around 100,000. However, a good amount of owners make more than 150,000.

Where's that coming from? You need a million in liquid assets just to buy one.
