so the wedding was alright. me and my friend werent planning to stay the night then he decided he wanted to. then he decided he wanted to leave after drinking a ton and it being 1 in the morning. i told him there is no way i am driving or getting in a car with him. then he wanted to leave at 6am but told me this after waking me up at around 3 am. i told him no way. turns out i wake up and he is gone. i called him at like 9 and he was already back in west chester (2hr drive from stone harbor). it was unreal. he just left me. luckily there were people going back to west chester at the wedding too. great friend that guy.

Oh, not at all. That's all we do--make sauce from canned tomatoes. If you start with whole tomatoes, you've got to scald them and $#@!. No $#@! way anyone other than your 85 year old Italian grandmother (and maybe phatj) do that.

I've made tomato sauce with fresh tomatoes before. It's a major pain in the ass, since to do it right you should peel and seed the tomatoes which is really time-consuming. For it to be remotely worthwhile you should only do it with really good ripe garden tomatoes in late summer, but to me, ripe garden tomatoes are so wonderful sliced on burgers and in a number of other fresh applications that it seems a waste to cook them in a sauce.

this is only LOST-related because a couple people on my Facebook news feed said "full circle," but isn't coming full circle the biggest copout for any conclusion? you can make anything come full circle. it's too neat. real life doesn't come full circle no matter how much people want to interpret things that way. sometimes i wonder if people's minds are just lost.

So I was in Cancun all last week. As fate would have it (or is it free will, Jack?) the Kansas City Chiefs cheerleading squad was staying at my hotel because they were shooting their annual swimsuit calendar. It was... pretty much as awesome as you'd expect it to be.
