I really hate signatures that use the quote function. But we've been down this road before.

I tried to use the quote function for it, but it wouldn't work for some reason. Such is life.

The easiest way would just click reply and copy and paste the quote you want to use into your sig in your profile. It would just look like this:

I've whined about it once or twice or five times. I just think it looks stupid. Toss it in quotes, give attribution. I don't like the spacing the quote function gives in a signature.

I don't remember the precise source of my quote, alls I know is it came from some horrendous Philly.com or Facebook discussion about young Chole.

Don't get me wrong. Obviously you can do whatever you want but I think a lot of quotes in peoples' sigs have the potential to be a lot funnier if you had some frame of reference- there are plenty to choose from but just to name a few, The Dude's (although I was able to google his) and TV's (I couldn't find any exact matches).

Also when Beez had the "sing and dance" quote I knew it was from a Michael Jackson message board after he died but a lot of people, especially new members, most likely had no idea what he was talking about.

My quote was from Jeff2sf when he was sad that Werth never made Eagle Scout or something.

It's so humid out.

Mine's from Charlie Manuel on April 28 so since we are playing good now I should probably change it except that since we are playing good now that means I probably shouldn't.

Phight On!, although I completely agree with you about signatures, I couldn't resist leaving your name out of my new one.

Sometimes, the sign line is funnier out of context, sometimes, the context is where the humor's at. Whether to leave out identifying information or put it end depends on what the person is trying to convey in their signature line.
