I like that it's been perfectly clear for 45 minutes that Specter was going to lose this, and it wasn't going to be close, and they're just calling it.

Beth Anne Rankin--a contested R primary for a sacrificial lamb race. Go figure.

Most odd thing was that these Republicans seemed largely indifferent to the Senate Primary.

The competitive GOP primary and the huge D up ballot driven turnout in PA-12 really screwed Burns. I think that seat should be much easier to pick up in November. Almost a reverse of what's going to be the case in HI-01 this weekend.

It looks like Boozman will be the Republican Senate nominee, even if he's forced to a runoff, he looks like he'll win that pretty comfortably. Although, it is way to early to say anything, as only 1% of the precincts have reported.

Why are results coming in so fucking slow?

I was following some local sites, which seem to be unconcerned with updating anything. It looks to me like it will go to a runoff on the D side. Maybe on the R side as well.

we have this idea from the olden days that philly pols can't get elected statewide. well, the rest of the state has kind of stopped growing, while the only growth coming from the collar and neighboring counties like lancaster/berks/lehigh is outflow FROM philly. this is a very different political landscape than 30 years ago

So Lincoln's going to a runoff. Being an incumbent is a bad thing.
