Imagine all this plus not being allowed to leave the office until 8:00 PM Eastern... ever.

So I was all pumped about going down to Portland this weekend for my first ever NBA playoff game but now it's looking like it will be more of a preseason-type atmosphere... :(

I've been in much better shape, allergy-wise, the last few days.

The April 17 Economist has an editorial (or "Leader" in Britspeak) that suggests China is becoming a hotbed of innovation. And one point of evidence they list in China's favor is that Chinese 20 somethings spend even more time on the internet than Americans.

I hope my obituary comes close to this, for many reasons:

Royce Frederick Baar died of the esophageal cancer at 3:30 a.m. on April 19, 2010, at the age of 56 at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Royce has many accidents in his lifetime that could have been fatal, but over and over again he survived. Because of this, his close friends gave him the nickname "The Death Defier." And Royce did fight long and hard with the many inevitable and unsuspected complications that ensued.

You want to die at age 56 from a horrible cancer and after surviving numerous and probably painful ailments?

Wasn't just esophageal cancer, but the esophageal cancer.

What do those numbers mean hoya? Are they like 3rd order wins or something. I'm guessing the GDP is gross domestic product but is it divided by GMP? What is GMP?

I remember our drunk 1st Sergeant was talking to some drunk brit officers and NCOs late one night and him explaining that we in America had the grossest national product in the world but every third house was a fucking shack. Is it anything like that?
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can
