Actual bar bars, there are like, zero. Fieldhouse at Market East isn't too far, but it's kind of Fox and Hound-y. I've never been to the Las Vegas Lounge but that's at 7th and Chestnut.
no offense but you are everything that's wrong with America
Barry's right, there aren't too many bars, but David's Mai Lai Wah is a restaurant that has a tiny, tiny craphole bar up front that's pretty comical and cheap as hell. It's at 10th and Race so it's near the Troc. I don't think it's a place you'd spend much time, but it could work for a shot and some drinks for like 3 or 4 people. And the upstairs bar at Vietnam is pretty cool--they play kung fu movies and have ridiculously named drinks. Could be cool before a show, probably not after. And Yakitori Boy is a giant karaoke spot, which is good if you're in the mood for karaoke.
I've been to Yakatori Boy, but that place will be weird right now. It'll be empty and dark. That's a grood group outing place, though. I've never been to those other spots.

Got a call at 4:30 saying something was due today. I wasn't really thinking it was due today. So I've been scrambling since. And I'm not on track to finish by first pitch. Looks like LA and Franzke till 9 or so. Should be done well before any potential fireworks. Still kind of in a bad mood.
I put solid work today after bitching. And we won the National League. The few hours I spent frustrated this afternoon are looking way more like potential funding sources for WS tickets, in retrospect.
Dude's post about Yim as a prophet not only made me laugh, but caused me to try to engage my sober, sick, retarded brother in discussion about whether Jimmy could actually be a prophet.
