Am I insane or did we have a thread (started by FTN/phuturephillies?) about the best five year pitching stretch in history?

In an argument with a friend re: Maddux and Pedro, and can't find it using the search function. Would appreciate if someone bumps it if they find it.

Thanks.

I think you're referring to this thread, where FTN and others were looking at the best five year stretches of ERA+ among pitchers (it started as a Santana thread). there's some mention of this subject in the "Maddux" retiring thread and the "Locks for the Hall of Fame", but I think this has the most discussion.

Maybe I'm missing some thread wholly devoted to it , though.

When did Bolt, Vamoose, and Mega buses take over 95?
"I tell all kids not to use that word. If they're 29 and they win the World Series, I think they can say that.
But I definitely would say to all the kids out there, 'Kids, it's a bad word. Don't say it. And I'm dead serious.' "

You forgot all the chinatown buses.

I'm not sure how they all stay in business charging 20-25 bucks a person each way. If there's a packed bus of 60 people paying 25 each, that's only $1500. Subtract, gas, tolls, lease, insurance, whatever they pay the driver and that's probably only a few hundred per trip and that's when its full. I've been on some rides that have a dozen people on them.

The building is closing or something. Unsure what that means for your favorite bar.

Do they still advertise sleeping pills on TV? I grew up listening to Sominex commercials, but I can't remember seeing anything recently. All anyone wants these days are 4-hour erections.

I ate like a savage this weekend, including at last night's game, and managed to lose a pound this weekend. That's the kind of psychological reinforcement I don't really need.

I originally misread that as "reaper" and thought "I wouldn't raise a fuss 'cuz you want to be on that guy's good side".
