I recognize Jackson's impact in the pop world but IIRC there were multiple kids that Jackson molested and instead of being prosecuted he settled out of court with their parents.

That's a beautiful thought right there, Karn.

I have two things stuck in my head. That track he did with Janet which had the crazy super-expensive video. Track werenae bad.

Also, the torture scene from Three Kings, where the iraqi interrogator asks what is the problem with Micheal Jackson.

Farrah Fawcett dies and goes to Heaven where she is met at the Pearly Gates by St Peter. He says "As you have had such a good life you can have one final wish." Farrah says " I want all children in the world to be safe" St Peter clicks his fingers and says "Done!"

According to BBC radio 4, AEG, the company that booked him for the 40 odd dates at the massive 02 arena in london, apparently only have liabilty for first 23 dates.

I can hear my lecturers collectively and loudly facepalming. Good jesus. they are going to get fucked.

Edit - hah, it's worse than I thought:

Amid scepticism over whether the frail singer could complete the residency, especially among insurance companies, AEG Live said that it was prepared to “self-insure” the shows.

Reinsurance magazine, which found that there was low demand in the London insurance market for the policy to cover all dates promoted by AEG Live, placed the liability at about £300 million.

The first ten concerts are believed to have been placed on the London insurance market at a value of £80 million. Phillips had assured insurance brokers that doctors had spent five hours with Jackson, taking blood tests. “He’s a vegetarian, he’s in great shape,” Phillips said. “The insurance cover, we are working on that now.”

On Fox this morning, family lawyer said he was using presciption painkilers regularly, and "hoped they had nothing to do with it". Also said that he had been rehearsing for concert and had just gotten back from rehearsal.

Jeeesus. There are probably a handful of celebrities who, when they die, I'll be genuinely sad...but nowhere close to that extent.

I'm sorry but those people seriously need professional help. I don't think I could kill myself (forget about would) if a family member died let alone some flake of a celebrity who I have never met in my life and cannot identify with one iota.

I wasn't be able to go to school.
As I knew that the news of Michael would appear in our class.
I didn't want me to collapse and I had to drive 13 miles to my school. I could have been easily crashed on to a tree, as I am not in the mood of watching the road.

I mean, I almost started crying from laughing at a bunch of those posts. If they rule Michael's death a suicide, those people are going to be running for the ledge.
