Michael Jackson: deceased

I really don't get the uproar over the Jackson doctor indictment. Freaking MJ was preying on young boys for 20+ years and his doctor gets charged with involuntary manslaughter for giving Jackson drugs that he wanted? Just seems bizarre to me that you could have MJ fans shouting "murderer" as the doctor enters the courtroom.

I think it comes down to how well either of them upheld professional standards. Michael Jackson's life was filled with megalomania, bizarre sexual excess, drug abuse, absurd manipulation of image and a litany of failed personal relationships-in other words, all we expect of a pop star, and I think you have to respect that. On the other hand, Dr. Conrad Murray seems have substituted,"first do no harm" with "make sure the check clears" and he wasn't completely conscientious about that-the man still owed student loans for heaven's sake. A celebrity physician ought to at least have wealth to spare before they off their client, or things come across as just plain tawdry.
