You have the rest of your life to live alone if you want to. You just gotta find decent roommates.

Is there a more annoying thing in the world than old people yukking it up about Twitter and tweets

I had someone tell me that around 400-800 more people were willing to buy standing room tickets for the May 8-10 home series (vs. Braves) than the season opener and ring ceremony games because of the weather :!: :!:

He also is maintaining that complementary tickets given to fans don't count towards attendance, but comp tickets given to family, retired players, scouts, etc. do count towards attendance. :?

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. He's obviously reached the point where any response from me is going to invoke an even more bizarre thought stream.

What we are witnessing today, boys and girls, is the result of an intellectual man child riding a one trick pony while trying to play a card game with a half deck and rules that aren't really rules.

It actually is a discussion from another Phillies message board. 8-) (I'd prefer not to mention the board or poster to maintain decorum/possibly avoid violating a TOS.)

The saddest part is that I was sort of defending the Mets in my original post of the discussion, which disgusted me.

Can someone tell CSN that every random piece of news that we've known for hours isn't an "ALERT"?

The thought process on number 85. Hmm, 85 Bears? No stupid. Stephen Baker the touchdown maker? No they'd hate that. Who on the Eagles wears 85? No one. Dempsey and Burrell, maybe. Oh shit, Tyree wears 85.

So BigEd, any suggestions?

Haha, that's pretty bad.

I usually just look at the SI best player by jersey number thing, and if it's no one I care about go to Phillies, Eagles or Giants.

Screw Ochocinco though. He's a douche. Plus I think Burrell giving the finger sums up tonight's game well.

I like the word render. It reminds me of the song Margaritaville.

I like the idea of something rendering a frozen concoction that helps you hang on. Even if I don't like that song much. Or margaritas.

In tangentially related news, I cannot wait to be down the shore in 48 hours.

The Sehorn interception is probably tied with Roy hitting the three against UConn two years ago as the second most absurdly awesome play I've seen in person. Jimmy's double play to clinch the division a not so distant fourth. I really hope I someday surpass the Laettner shot. Peaking at seven is rough. I should have gone to our Super Bowl two years ago.
