I just found out yesterday that mine are coming out to way more than I thought. It's all very depressing.

here's how the story goes: as long as i pay my bills on time and what not, they take 2% off the total bill at the end. great, every little bit adds up for me. so i get the bill usually around the 20th of the month and it is due on the 6th of the next month. for example, i receive the bill on feb 20th and it is due march 6th. i usually pay my bill and send it out within a day or two of receiving it. hell, i even pay some extra each month to pay the principal down. so i get this letter today saying i was deliquent and i will no longer get the 2% off at the end. so i figure it is some mix up and call them. i have every bill i got so far, when i got them, when they were due, when i paid them, when they cashed my checks, everything. well the first lady tells me i didn't pay for a month. so at least 5-6 times i go over when i paid them and when they cashed my checks, for every freaking bill i received so far. she continues to tell me i did not pay and i have no clue what to even do, i keep saying it must be a mistake on their part because everything checks out on my end. finally i get another lady and here is why i was deliquent. they received my march payment on the last day of february, meaning i did NOT pay in march. are these people $#@! retarded? so my march payment comes in february, even though the invoice is for the march bill and i have a note in it because of the fact i need the extra money i put in to be applied to the principal. i've never even heard of something so dumb. if they don't get it straightened out i'm just going to go to o'pake. stupidity ticks me off, even moreso when it wastes a good deal of my time.

OMFG I had the exact same thing happen once. Wasn't with a student loan, though. It's extemely frustrating. OK, now I remember- it was my mortgage, and since they got a 2nd payment in the same calendar month, they applied it all as "extra principal". What ijjuts.
The happiness of my gardener is of the same species; he wages a perennial war against rabbits, of which he speaks exactly as Scotland Yard speaks of Bolsheviks; he considers them dark, designing and ferocious, and is of opinion that they can only be met by means of a cunning equal to their own.
