It's scary when you expect something to be some kind of satirical Onion article, except that it's not, but you don't realize it until halfway through said article

I did the same thing.

Is it a charter school or a private school?

oh, I'm not sure. I was just going by the uniforms. Maybe it's a charter school. Honestly, I'm not even sure of the exact difference.

Charter schools are paid for by tax dollars, and are usually free to attend. Unlike magnet schools, charter schools do not typically have admissions standards, though they may demand things like a commitment to parental involvement or they may target certain kinds of students.

Not sure why there isn't more concern here about the "vote flipping" and massive irregularities that have surfaced already with all the pre-voting. The evidence is massive. Interestingly the majority of things that go down, happen ln largely Democratic districts and areas -- college towns, inner city, heavy Black and Latino areas.

Mike Connel case is a MASSIVE story

Ohio has one of the strictest RICCO enforcements, and going after ACORN has been a mis-direct to avoid attention on Connel and Rove.

According to one report 1/4 or 27million have voted already via absentee or early-voting. Let's hope their votes will be recorded, and recorded as intended.

Come on guys, Ron Clark! He had a movie made about his teaching methods? Pretty widely recognized as a successful teacher, started the Academy in Atlanta after teaching in Harlemf or a time. It's a private school where the kids apply to get in, rich and poor alike. It's very small but amazing.

Why do people not voting for Obama get mad that those who are voting for him and are actually excited to do so?

I think that's a two-way street.

For the same reason Phillies fans boo and taunt Rays fans?

I think I'm gonna guess Obama 338-McCain 200.

Which is apparently exactly what RealClearPolitics has. Good to see I'm getting out there on a limb.

What does it say that McCain is struggling to win his own state:

I don't want Hoya out there all by himself so I'll guess:

Obama - 349
McCain - 189

That he's going to go the way of Gore, Mondale and McGovern, and lose.

The Sunday Washington Post had its usual pre-election experts picks. In addition to their "old school" folks like Fred Barnes and Eleanor Clift, they included some newer prognosticators like Nate Silver, Markos Moulitsas and some guy from Red State.com.

It's worth looking up online. Barnes and the Red State guy both picked McCain to win. In fact, the Red State guy picked outcomes beyond the Republicans' best-case scenario in most cases, whereas Barnes seems to accept that this year will be a bad year overall for the Republicans even if McCain pulls out the White House race.

The guy from RedState has Obama winning. It's some other random GOP blogger. He has us at 202 House seats after this is over. Bahahaha.

We'll be lucky, seriously lucky, if we're at 175.

Hoya - are you a strict Republican or could you bring yourself to vote for a qualified Democrat if given the chance?

Got an email from a friend a week or two ago about something on Howard Stern's radio proggy. Something about a guy interviewing people "in the street" about who they support, where the guy swapped the issues and running mates of Obama/McCain and the people didn't know the diff. I don't listen to Stern, anyone have a link to it?

I don't foresee myself voting for a Democrat for federal office anytime soon. Might vote for Democrats depending on what my ballot looks like tomorrow considering they might be the only people running for local office/school board.

311-Obama
227-McCain

59 D Senators
275 D House (that's just a random guess)
